The 1987 Countach 5000 QV is the last of dying breed. It represents the
hand built tube frame sports car. Countach's wild looks makes all other
sports cars of the era seem positively tame by comparison. This Lamborghini
can hit nearly 190 MPH with the Quatra-Valve, fuel injected V-12.
- Red Rider has about 12,000 miles on it.
- Red Rider has had a body and mechanical restoration performed by Lamborghini
experts. (Chicago Lamborghini; L'CARS of Cameron, WI; Wayne Obey's Motion
Products of Neenah, WI; and Evans Lamborghini of Columbus, OH)
- This Countach has been Stone Guarded with 3M transparent shielding
on lower quarter sections, wheel arches, front and rear valences, and
lower hood. This coating gives the red finish resilience and chip protection
from gravel, rocks, etc.
- The ignition system has been upgraded with a MSD 7AL system to enhance
reliability and performance.
- The exhaust has been supplemented with Ansa Formula One equal length
headers which were "Jet Hotted" along with the Ansa Sport
Exhaust System. This setup is factory Euro original and greatly improves
Performance and provides deep and more purposeful tune
when going through the five gears.
- An upgraded clutch was installed with a pressure plate.
- The engine and transmission were removed and inspected.
- All seals, gaskets, and hoses were replaced.
- The exterior and interior of the car are immaculate (having spent
its days indoors in a private car collection). It has only clocked 300
miles since it's rebirth.
- This car is one of the finest running street ready Countachs in the
nation. It has been appraised by Concour judge and restorer Robert Lorkowski
(715.458.2277).
- The exterior has been taken back to its European origin replacing both front and
rear American bumpers and rear valence panel.
- A revised sound system, retaining the original location for speakers and
head unit, has been installed with an amp hidden in the rear subfloor
compartment, complete with its own ventilation fan. The head unit and sound
system are voice activated.
- The cream interior and red exterior make this supercar one of the
most eye catching combinations ever produced by Lamborghini.
- There is a color rear view camera located in the rear of the car just
above the license plate to aid in backing up the car. This custom installation
is hardwired under the leather headliner.
- New air conditioning has been installed.
- There are no power-windows or power-seats.
- Each one of the Countach's were hand assembled. The tubular frame
resembles a birdcage design and has its own built-in rollerbars and
reinforced cage.
- It gets crappy gas mileage per gallon guaranteed! yet, has two 12.5
gallon tanks so it has a good cruising range.
- All removed factory original equipment has been retained including
the bumpers, mirror, original Alpine sound system, exhaust pipes, headers,
and catalytic converts.
- Oh yes, it also has a Valentine One laser/radar hardwired directly
to its Lamborghini heart!
